Fitbook Review & Giveaway (Day 1)

Happy Monday all! I hope that your races, training runs or rest went splendidly this weekend.

I wanted to share with you guys one of the best tools I have found for planning, executing and empowering my health journey.

The Fitbook has truly been one of the most vital tools in my arsenal to stay on track with my health goals. It provides tools for planning long term, tracking weekly workout, daily food journaling, even a weekly wrap up.

A 12-week planning page allows you to do what we do best: prepare for anything. Have a vacation, work trip or appointment coming up? Plan how you will take on the challenges of everyday life and still stay on track.

The workout page takes it one step further. Not only log your exercises, share your thoughts and rate your workout. I find this is most helpful when comparing my workouts week to week. Maybe Monday was a so-so workout because I didn't sleep well and I only managed a 20 minute workout. The journal allows me to focus on the positive.

The food log page is fantastic not only for logging what you eat but planning when you eat. I am horrible about eating snacks throughout the day and always end up overindulging for dinner. The log helps me note calories, time, how I felt after eating and a handy nutrient tracker gives me some guidance. The tracker allows you to track the # of servings you have throughout the day, water intake and the amount of sleep you have gotten. It is amazing how much comparing our sleep patterns can help us better understand how are body responds to exercise.

The weekly wrap up is just that, a way to celebrate the accomplishments. Review your goals, did you meet you daily plan, celebrate the positives, reflect on the setbacks, and leave room for inspiration. I am a huge fan of reviewing goals as often as you can to stay on track. Too often we get lost in the one day and the one scoop of ice cream. Don't get lost in the one moment. Remember that one bad meal does not change all the hard work. Reset, refocus and come back strong.

All the awesome quotes throughout the journal really help motivate you to continue on your journey.

One of the last features that I think is terrific for goal setting, is the before and after. In order to stay on track, it is important to see how far you have come in your journey. I love transformations and this journal gives you the opportunity to do just that: transform.

Enough about me, who wants a Fitbook for themselves? One lucky reader will be the winner of their very own Fitbook Fitness & Nutrition Journal!

  11. I've actually never heard of fitbook until the other week. It sounds and looks really cool and I would definitely want to give it a try. My favorite cross training right now is the AMT gym at the gym. It has kept me injury free for running.
