Sickness Saturday and Christmas lists.

Well, my first week of getting back into half marathon training totally was derailed. My Thursday morning run went well, but that tickle in my throat became a bother. The tickle turned into body aches, swollen lymph nodes, postnasal drainage and a desire to remain in bed. So my other half forced me to visit the emergency clinic this morning. So off we were in 10 degree weather, needless to say I felt like a marshmallow.

Yes, I love this image. It just puts a smile on my face.

So, the amazing Nurse Practitioner decided to tell me while I don’t have Step, I could have a virus or… Mono. Are you kidding me???? I am about 2 weeks away from Holiday Vacation and I could have Mono? Ugh! So I will be of course labs are closed on the weekends, so my directions were to load on everything known to man.

In case you are wondering, no the clock is not set correctly, nor will I plug it in. One night, static echoed throughout our room (3 am and I have never set an alarm, ever) and I have not plugged it back in since. Creepy, right? So since I have been in bed all day watching Gilmore Girls, I caught up on my Christmas wish list.

Please excuse the mass quantities of running shoe pictures to follow:

And world peace.

Happy Running!
