12/13/13

365 days. 10 states. 2 countries. 14 half's.

So 2013 is done and in the books. I have one last 5K but it will be for fun with my mom, so I will be taking it easy.

Last year I participated in a challenge to complete 13 races in 2013 and I am happy to report they are all complete.

Now, I set my sights on 2014 and pushing myself.

I have challenged myself to complete 14 half marathons in 2014

I know, I know...this is crazy! Trust me I didn't come to the decision lightly. I have the support of my spouse (my biggest fan), family and friends. I have spent weeks staring at race calendars, potential flight costs, course maps, elevation charts, runner reviews, etc. I am so thrilled to finally say everything is planned! If you fail to plan you plan to fail, right? I know that it will be difficult on my mind and body but my heart is in it 100%.

I will be visiting 10 states (running through 11) and 2 countries throughout the year. So total, that is way too many miles to count and tons of airplane peanuts. I hope to see some of you along my journey.

Here is where you can expect to find me in 2014.

Miami Half Marathon February 2

I am lucky enough that my spouse has helped support me in registering for 12 of 14 (2 registrations haven't opened yet). Did I mention I am the luckiest girl in the world?

So if you are going to be there let me know, I would love to meet up!

I will be sure to share all the great experiences throughout the year, so be on the lookout!

Happy Running!

**I won entry to this race very recently, so I added it to the schedule to make it 15 races. So nutty!

    1. Thanks Sarah!!! Yeah, my other half was NOT excited about the cost of travel. Since I will going solo on 85% of trips, I sold it well. It was like giving a presentation at work. Do 14 races!!!! 2014 is going to be a blast!
