Weekly Recap: Half Marathon Training Week 3

Happy Sunday all! I hope all of your training, races and family time went fabulous. I have been extremely MIA this week due to a new full time job and adjustment to 5 a.m. runs. It has been an interesting week but I managed to complete all my runs (which was amazing to say the least)!

Monday: First day of the new job, which meant I couldn't sleep and ran to catch the bus.

Tuesday: 3 mile easy run @ 12:57 pace

Wednesday: Rest Day = a busy day of work and orientations.

Thursday: 4 mile easy run @ 13:19 pace

Friday: Hooray I made it through my first week of work! Celebrated with movies on the couch.

Saturday: 7 mile long run @ 14:26 pace (6 miles was on the schedule but felt too good to quit!)

Sunday: 3 mile recovery run @ 13:39 pace

I will have to say my longest run and longest training week definitely put a huge smile on my face. I also finished listening to my audio book 50/50 by Dean Karnazes and I would highly recommend it to any and every runner. I laughed and cried while I was on my runs. Even though I am NO WHERE near being an Ultra-Marathoner, it gave me wonderful inspiration to push through those difficult days.

This next week I will be back to a normal schedule of Les Mills Body Pump plus I have decided to take on some July challenges. I may be biting off more than I can chew, but I will not quit before trying! I hope you all have a fantastic week and a Happy 4th of July!

Happy Running!

  1. Sweet, you're making me want to pull my Les Mills Pump DVD'S out.

    1. I love Pump! Are the DVDs worth it? I have considered it because they offer limited classes at my local gym.
