Weekly Recap: Half Marathon Training Week 2

This week was amazing! I have to admit that the thought half marathon training over the past few months has been a little intimidating. However, these first two weeks I have felt amazing and still in good spirits. One major change I have made in this training versus my 10K training is very intentional warm ups, cool downs, stretching and foam rolling. Sure it adds additional time to my workouts but if it means less chance for injury, then sign me up! 

Monday: 30 minute treadmill walk.

Tuesday: 3 mile easy run @ 13:08 pace.

Wednesday: 60 minute Les Mills Body Pump class.

Thursday: 4 mile easy run @ 13:18 pace.

Friday: Rest Day (Bear assisted me in a full day of rest).

Saturday: 5 mile long run (in the rain) @ 14:08 pace.

Sunday: 3 mile recovery run @ 14:02 pace.

  1. I miss my half training. I slimmed down a lot the 2nd and 3rd time around. As soon as it cools down, I will start it up again...can hardly wait! Good luck! :)
